John Davis of Cranfield Software provides integrated management and computer consultancy.  John has an unusual breadth and depth of both business and technical knowledge, and an ability to get things done.  The typical approach involves identifying the core management, operational and technical issues in a project and developing appropriate solutions with the customer.

John has been providing independent advice and creating quality software solutions since forming Cranfield Software in 1990.  Major clients include a number of large international investment banks.  In addition to specialising in the banking sector, John has also developed cost effective solutions for companies ranging from Mardev Ltd (part of Reed Elsevier plc) to new start-ups.  John also provides occasional free charity work, including the installation and configuration of a network for Flamstead School.

Biography

Technical
John Davis has a degree in Natural Sciences and Computer Science from Cambridge University (Jesus College).

International Business Experience
John has an MBA from Cranfield Institute of Technology.   Prior to his MBA, John worked in banking operations for Salomon Brothers in New York and London, and as a business analyst for Bankers Trust.  He has run his own company for the last 14 years.

Leadership
John has also served as a Troop Commander in the Royal Corps of Signals, primarily in Germany, where he commanded the British Army's only jamming and direction finding troops.   John left the army as a Captain in 1985.  John attended Bedford Modern School as an exhibitioner, where he was Head of School.
